Definition
- Kineret is an Biological drug which inhibits the cyokine interleukin-1 (IL-1)
- The active substance is anakinra
- The drug is effective Adult Stills syndrome and other autoinflammatory fever syndromes)
Before start of treatment

Vaccines
- Consider annual flu vaccine
- Evaluate pneumococcal vaccine before starting treatment (effect for 5-10 years)
- Consider hepatitis B vaccine before initiating treatment (exposed persons)

Dosage
- Common dosage in in adults is a syringe (injection) of 100mg every day
- Combination with Methotrexate possible
- Children the dose is calculated based on body weight. The current starting dose is 1-2mg / kg / day. Some people get higher doses eventually
