Eye complications at Bekhterev's disease (ankylosing spondylitis) Can cause blindness
- Uveitis (Acute, anterior) of 30%
- One eye at a time, but 80% gets on both eyes gradually
- Adherences (syncies) in the eye can lead to Glaucoma (glaucoma)
- HLA-B27 associated
- To be investigated and checked by specialist in eye diseases
- Children (with Entesitis related JIA) have few or no symptoms
