Lupus disease is divided into several types (Systemic lupus erythematosus, SLE) and Skin Lupus (cutaneous lupus)

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is usually treated by rheumatologists, sometimes in collaboration with specialists on the most affected organs, such as kidney doctor (nephrologist), specialist in blood disease (hematologist), cardiologist (cardiologist) or neurologist. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is described on a separate page here

Skin lupus (cutaneous lupus) is usually treated by a dermatologist (dermatologist). Skin lupus is described on a separate page here.

Children are rarely attacked, but Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) occurs (Juvenile Lupus). Lupus in children is described on a separate page here
