  • 2-10 large joints 1
  • 1-3 small joints (with or without manifestation in large joints) 2
  • 4-10 small joints (with or without manifestation in large joints) 3
  • More than 10 joints (at least 1 small joints) 5

Serological antibody Scores

  • RF and CCP-0
  • Do RF + or CCP + 2
  • High RF + or CCP + 3

Acute phase reactants (ESR and CRP) Scores

  • Normal SR or CRP 0
  • Abnormal SR or CRP 1

RF: rheumatoid factor. CCP: anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide. SR: Lowering reaction. CRP: C-reactive protein. Low RF or CCP: <3 x upper limit of the reference range. High: more than 3 x upper limit of reference area

Requirement: the patient has at least 1 head joint, and the condition cannot be better explained by another condition. Score of at least 6 points required for definite diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis.
